The surgery team just now recouping and getting around to sending a note for future teams. Please only bring the supplies you will be using as Nicole is trying very hard to organize and filter through the left over supplies. Always needed: sterile towels, 4x4's for surgery and dressings, lap sponges, Avaguard, ortho supplies (kerles, kling, ace wraps and plaster for splinting, head covers, shoe covers and masks are always needed. If you are wanting to leave supplies or equipment for future trips I recommend you take a plastic foot locker to label for your group to put in the upper supply room and a lock for it would be good. OR and Recovery Room need bed sheets, the extra long twin fitted would work on RR beds and full flat sheets for OR. The tourniquet works well but child sizes are needed, 18" is the smallest there. If you plan on doing laparoscopic procedures the machines are there on two towers but you should bring your own instruments and supplies. There are plenty of cautery pads. Please do not bring foleys, cardiac or vascular supplies, there is really no way to use these and it creates clutter as well as wasted supplies. Three-quarter sheets are also needed a great deal. Please feel free to contact me if there are any surgery questions..........Patty Mann 540-529-5440
