last entry for a while...:)

Hey it's been an awesome week with the team!   Although there wasn't LOTS of surgery, the barrio teams saw over 1000 patients and the surgical patients that we DID operate on were very pleased.

After reviewing the most recent request list, I assessed the medical supply room upstairs and found plenty of oxygen masks, circuits, oral airways, needles, suction tubing, and head rests.   However, 10 and 20 cc syringes are needed, as well as yankeurs, and disposable "napkins".

In the pharmacy there appears to be a good supply of tylenol, tums, immodium, ibuprofen, amoxicillin, keflex, mefoxin and rocephin.   Vaginal creams are always needed, as well as claritin, specific antifungals for "head hongos", etc.  We also have MORE than enough scrubs.

It sure has been a pleasure working with the medical teams this winter- I look forward to coming back!
